Tyler Bates is a music producer and composer for films, television, and video games who is known to work closely with James Gunn. He began his composing career with Blue Flame (1993). Over the years he has worked on movies like City of Ghosts (2002), Dawn of the Dead (2004), The Devil`s Rejects (2005), 300 (2006), Watchmen (2009), Killer Joe (2011), John Wick (2014) and John Wick: Chapter 2 (2017). Bates has also worked on TV shows like Californication (2007-2014), PG Porn (2008-2009), Low Winter Sun (2013), Salem (2014- ) and Kingdom (2014- ).

His work for Gunn include movies like Slither (2006), Super (2010) and Guardians of the Galaxy (2014). He`s also worked as the composer for Gunn`s Guardians of the Galaxy sequel, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 (2017). It has Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana and Dave Bautista reprising their roles.
