One of the most prominent personalities in the Marathi film industry, Upendra Limaye is an actor who is best remembered for his role in Jogwa (2009), which won him the National Film Award for Best Actor. His performance is the movie was listed among the `25 Greatest Acting Performances of Indian Cinema` during the centenary of Indian cinema in April 2013. The actor who started his career in 1994, in a career spanning over two decade has appeared in about 25 film across Marathi, Hindi and Tamil cinema. A few of his most popular performances includes Chandni Bar (2003), Page 3 (2005), Traffic Signal (2007), Sarkar Raj (2008), Yellow (2014) and Nagarsevak - Ek Nayak (2017) directed by Deepak Kadam. His 2018 release includes Mulshi Pattern, directed by Pravin Tarde. His 2019 releases include Sur Sapata, Aakrandan and Berij Vajabaki.
