About the movie
Gour Hari Dastaan- The Freedom File is an award-winning biopic releasing on 14th August all over India. This biopic is based on the life of an Odisha Freedom Fighter, Gour Hari Das and his fight to get recognition. One day when his son is unable to secure college admission as there is no certificate to prove that his father fought for his country, Gour Hari Das feels the need to establish his identity. In the quest, for a piece of paper which is called Tamrapatra- the freedom fighter`s certificate, to prove his authenticity to his son, his neighbours and to the world, he begins a journey that sucks up almost his entire life. It takes him 32 long years to fight against his own government and prove his patriotic association towards the nation.
