About the movie
Unnikrishnan Namboothiri is Raman Namboothiri and Sree Devi Antharjanam`s only son. Raman works as a priest in his temple but because his income wasn`t enough, Unni joins Kalamandalam to learn Kathakali from him. In the meanwhile, one of Kalamandalam`s other students, Sethu Lakshmi grows to love Unni but never confesses her loves for him.
Unni later gets assigned to teach Romi Meshyl, a French student Malayalam and Kathakali. The two soon fall in love but Romi returns to France after completing her studies. Years later, Melina, Romi`s daughter comes to India in search of her father.
