About the movie
"Aag" was the first film produced by R.K. Films and also marked the directorial debut of Raj Kapoor. The film tells the story of Kewal - a man whose passion is theatre, his struggle to realize his dream to set up a drama company and stage his play and his turbulent quest for love. "Aag" is notable for its poetic narrative style, intense emotions capturing the universal struggle of artists seeking purpose in an indifferent world and was the first collaboration between Raj Kapoor and Nargis, one of the most celebrated on-screen pairs in Indian cinema.
