SYNOPSIS
The modern world holds many secrets, but the most astounding secret of all is that witches still live amongst us; vicious supernatural creatures intent on unleashing the Black Death upon the world. Armies of witch hunters battled the unnatural enemy across the globe for centuries, including Kaulder, a valiant warrior who managed to slay the all-powerful queen witch, decimating her followers in the process. In the moments right before her death, the queen curses Kaulder with her own immortality, forever separating him from his beloved wife and daughter in the afterlife. Kaulder is the only one of his kind who is alive and has spent centuries hunting down rogue witches, all the while yearning for his long-lost loved ones. However, unbeknownst to Kaulder, the queen witch resurrects and seeks revenge on her killer causing an epic battle that will determine the survival of the human race.

The sagely Dolan speaks with a quiet confidence, dishing out advice and witticisms to Kaulder. ...Read full review

Or did Diesel point to a shelf of books about the history of witchcraft and rumble to his colleagues: Yeah. Witch-hating is a misogynist paranoid phenomenon. So lets deconstruct that satirically with a film starring me as a macho witch hunter battling an evil female. ...Read full review
The Last Witch Hunter is an unwieldy mishmash, pitched between sword-and-sorcery epic and modern-day action movie. The film begins with grunting warriors in snowy, ancient times, tussling with witch queens. One bold and hirsute knight, Kaulder (Vin Diesel), is cursed by a dying sorceress with eternal life. ...Read full review
