An American model, producer and TV and film actress, Aimee Richelle Teegarden is best known for portraying the roles of Julie Taylor in the popular TV series, Friday Night Lights and Emery Whitehill in sci-fi drama series, Star-Crossed. A renowned face in the modeling world, Teegarden has been part of advertising campaigns for several renowned international brands like Tommy Hilfiger, Hollister, Old Navy and YMI Jeans. The actress who made her debut on the silver screen with The Perfect Age of Rock ‘n’ Roll (2009) has appeared in films like Scream 4 (2011), Love and Honor (2013) and Rings (2017).

Early Life
Born and brought up in Downey, California, Teegarden graduated from high school through independent study at the age of 16. .

Movie Career
After having established herself as an accomplished actress in the TV industry, Teegarden made her foray on the silver screen with The Perfect Age of Rock ‘n’ Roll (2009) where she played a supporting role. The American musical film directed by Scott Rosenbaum featured Kevin Zegers, Jason Ritter, Peter Fonda and Taryn Manning in the lead roles. The film, which had limited theatrical release received mostly positive reviews. The same year, the actress had two more releases, viz. Call of the Wild directed by Richard Gabai and For Sale by Owner directed by Robert J. Wilson. None of the films did well at the box office.

The actress got her first major hit in 2011 as she starred in the American slasher film Scream 4. The film starring David Arquette, Neve Campbell, Courtney Cox , Emma Roberts and Hayden Panettiere received mixed critical reviews but emerged to be a big commercial hit; it grossed 97 million USD. Over the next few years, the actress appeared mostly in small or supporting roles in films like Strain (2012), Love and Honor (2013) and Bakery in Brooklyn (2016) but none of the films garnered any attention at the box office. Her 2017 release includes Rings, an American supernatural psychological horror film, which is the third installment in the Ring franchise. The film directed by F. Javier Gutierrez featured Matilda Lutz, Alex Roe, Johnny Galecki and Vincent D’Onofrio in pivotal roles. Although the film was panned by critics, it raked in average numbers at the box office.

TV Career
Aime Teegarden started her acting career by appearing in a single episode of the TV series Cold Case (2003), an American police procedural series, which revolves around the fictionalized police department in Philadelphia that specializes in investigating cold cases. Whilst her maiden TV appearance did not get her any attention, she rose to fame with her role as Julie Taylor in the American drama TV series, Friday Night Lights (2006-2011) where she played one of the lead roles. Her brilliant performance in the series won her the TV Actress of the Year at the 2011 Young Hollywood Awards.

As Teegarden continued to work in Friday Night Lights, she went to work in several other series’ like CSI: Miami (2009), CSI: Crime Scene Investigation (2010) and Punk’d (2012) where she appeared mostly in single episodes. Her next major TV appearance came in 2014 as she played the lead role in the sci-fi romantic drama series Star-Crossed. The actress’ other popular TV appearances include The Ranch (2016) and Notorious (2016). Apart from her work in the TV series, Teegarden has also appeared in web series’ like Aim High (2011) and Ladies of Rap (2012).
