Best remembered for his portrayal of Parshya in the musical romantic-drama Sairat in 2016, Akash Thosar is a Marathi movie actor, who made an impact with his debut movie itself.

Early Life
Born on the 24th February, 1993 in Karmala, a district in Solapur in Maharashtra, Akash completed his schooling at the Shri Shivaji Vidya Mandir in Aundh, following which he pursued his master’s degree in arts from Pune University. Akash had a keen interest in wrestling and was also a bodybuilder.

Movie Career
A wrestler from a small village in Pune, Akash was noticed by Fandry director Nagraj Manjule’s brother. Akash was then called to audition by Nagraj Manjule, who then offered him the lead role in his 2016 movie, Sairat alongside the debutante Rinku Rajguru in the lead role. The movie went on to become a surprise hit and collected over 100 crores worldwide, a record-high for a Marathi movie. Akash’s impactful performance won him immense praise and his boyish charm won over the hearts of many. Following his strong debut, he was signed for Mahesh Manjrekar’s 2017 release FU alongside Satya Manjrekar, Madhuri Desai, and Sanskruti Balgude.
