Early Life
Born in Kodaikanal, Bobby Simha, completed his schooling in his native and later went to Pioneer College of Arts and Science in Coimbatore. The actor has two Siblings Reshma Pasupuleti and Deepti Pasupuleti. In 2005, the actor participated in a theater event called Naalaya Natchathiram where the chief guests from Sundar C and E. Ramadoss. Impressed by his performance, Ramadoss suggested Bobby that she should consider becoming an actor in Tamil films.
Bobby suggested that while he was pursuing his graduation, he received an offer to work in a serial in Chennai, however, when he reached the city, he realized that he was conned. He later completed his studies and went back to Chennai to pursue a career in acting but after failing to find any work he took different jobs. He worked in marketing, BPO (Business Process Outsourcing) and Insurance to earn a living.
Bobby got his breakthrough in the film industry when he met short-film maker Manikandan who later introduced him to another film-maker
Karthik Subbaraj. The duo subsequently worked together in several short films and later offered him a role in his directorial debut, Pizza.

Bobby Simha got engaged to actress
Reshmi Menon in November 2015 and the duo tied the knot in April 2016.
Movie Career
Bobby Simha started his career in the film industry with the romantic-comedy bilingual
Kadhalil Sodhappuvadhu Yeppadi (2012), which was simultaneously shot in Telugu as Love Failure. Although Bobby who played a supporting role, did not get any attention, the film earned critical acclaim and was declared a commercial hit. After his debut film, the actor appeared in two films Pizza (2012) and
Naan Rajavaga Pogiren (2013) and rose to fame with a stellar performance in
Soodhu Kavvum (2013), a Tamil black comedy-crime directed by
Nalan Kumarasamy. The film co-starring
Vijay Sethupathi and
Sanchita Shetty received wide positive reviews and emerged to be a commercial hit.
Bobby followed his success with
Soodhu Kavvum with yet another critical and commercial hit,
Neram, a Tamil-Malayalam bilingual film which was also made Malayalam with the same title. The film co-starring
Nivin Pauly, and
Nazriya Nazim, fared pretty well at the box office. Indo-Asian New Service stated, "There is absolutely nothing new about the story, yet what differentiates
Neram from other films is its brilliant non-linear screenplay, which is never seen before in Tamil cinema".
The actor continued his good run in 2014 as he starred in
Jigarthanda, a Tamil black comedy-crime film, which was written and directed by
Karthik Subbaraj. The film featuring Siddharth and
Lakshmi Menon in the lead roles and Bobby Simha and
Karunakaran in supporting roles received widespread critical acclaim and was declared a commercial hit. The film, which was loosely based on the South Korean film A Dirty Carnival won two National Film Awards with Bobby Simha winning the Best Supporting Actor. The actor`s next major hit came in 2015 as he appeared in a cameo in the Telugu-Tamil bilingual romantic-comedy
Size Zero, which was also made in Tamil as
Inji Iduppazhagi. The film directed by
Prakash Kovelamudi and starring
Anushka Shetty,
Arya and
Prakash Raj received mostly positive reviews. Following the success of the film, it was later remade in Odia as Chhati Tale Ding Dong.
In 2016, the actor had quite a busy year as he had eight releases; the most prominent being
Bangalore Naatkal and
Ko 2. The former, a comedy-drama starring
Rana Daggubati,
Raai Laxmi,
Parvathy and
Samantha Ruth Prabhu received mixed critical reviews and the later a Tamil political thriller garnered positive critical reviews. However, both the films failed at the box office. His 2017 venture includes
Paambhu Sattai, a Tamil-language action-thriller directed by debutant director
Adam Dasan and Vallavanukkum Vallavan directed by Vijay Tesingu. His 2018 credits includes Ladoo. His 2019 projects includes Kanne Kalaimane. His 2020 release includes Disco Raja.
