Caterina Murino is an Italian theater, television, and film actress as well as a model. She is best known for her role in the James Bond movie Casino Royale.
Early LifeCaterina Murino was born on 15 September 1977 in Cagliari, Sardinia, Italy. In the year 1996, she took part in the Miss Italy contest, finishing fourth. Following that, she shifted to London, where she was exposed to theater and grew increasingly interested in it. Although she initially planned to become a doctor, Murino returned to Italy and began studying drama at the Scuola di Cinema e Teatro.
Personal LifeCaterina Murino, along with Italian, also speaks fluent English and French, which has helped her land an assortment of movie roles. In 2009, she began dating Pierre Rabadan, a French international rugby player.
Movie CareerAfter acting in numerous theater productions in Italy, Caterina Murino acted in L'Enquete Corse (2004) and Les Bronzes 3: Amis pour la vie (2006), two French comedy films referred to in English as The Corsican Investigation and French Fried Vacation 3, respectively. In 2006, she also began appearing in Vientos de agua (Winds of Water), a cult Argentine-Spanish mini TV series.

Murino essayed the role of Solange Dimitrios, the antagonist Dimitrios' wife, who James Bond, played by Daniel Craig, seduces. After acting in the blockbuster hit, Caterina Murino was seen in a minor role in the British comedy film St Trinian's (2007). The actress was then seen in movies like Il seme della discordia (2008), The Garden of Eden (2008), Alini e sospetti (2008), XII (2009), and Die (2010).
