A National Film Award winning screenwriter, Himanshu Sharma is noted for his work in Bollywood cinema. The writer who made his debut in the film industry with Strangers (2007), rose to prominence for writing Tanu Weds Manu (2011), which won wide critical acclaim. He subsequently wrote for Raanjhanaa (2013) Tanu Weds Manu Returns (2015), both of which performed well at the box office. Apart from writing, Himanshu has also worked as a creative producer for films like Happy Bhag Jayegi (2016) and Nil Battey Sannata (2016). The screenwriter-turned-creative producer also dons the hat of a producer with Shubh Mangal Saavdhan (2017), which marks his production debut. His other releases include Zero and Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan.
