Verdict: Easily the most comical movie of the year. Ayushmann Khurrana is not only known for his singing and acting skills, but also for his choice of films that are anything but mundane. It has been five years since the release of Vicky Donor and we could not wait to see whether Khurrana could deliver []... ...Read full review
With its fine zingers and feisty acknowledgement, Shubh Mangal Saavdhan does more for sex, both noun and verb, than any Hindi film can claim to in a long, long time. ...Read full review
Nobody so much as utters `erectile dysfunction`, or `impotence`, in Shubh Mangal Saavdhaan, a cockeyed take on a problem that is no laughing matter. The film`s male protagonist isn`t up to the challenge of going the whole hog in bed. His battle with his dodgy libido is euphemistically referred to as "gent`s problem": very much in keeping with the Delhi NCR middle-class socio-cultural milieu of the story. ...Read full review
But, much like Mudit`s character, the film is unable to perform when it matters the most - the climax. For some reason, the screenplay resorts to an unconvincing turning point towards the end, followed by a few more absurd sequences, including a seemingly forced cameo before going flat out overboard. That aside, `Shubh Mangal Saavdhan` keeps you entertained long enough to make it worth a watch. ...Read full review

Ayushmann, who played the extremely fertile Vicky in Vicky Donor, walks over to the other end of the spectrum with equal ease. He is in top form. Bhumi delivers another noteworthy performance in her third film. Ayushmann and Bhumi, share an easy chemistry, which comes handy in some tricky scenes. Besides the brilliant supporting cast, Pahwa deserves a special mention for her role as Bhumi`s mother. ...Read full review
There. I said it. It`s taken Hindi cinema years and years to be liberated from the shackles of libidinous machismo. An actor called Ayushmann Khurrana has done. He plays an ordinary guy with a routine problem with such conviction. ...Read full review

It doesn`t happen everyday that we come across a movie based on a topic as bold as a sexual problem. For being helmed around a sensitive topic of ED, the film gathered ample of popularity even before its release.
