About
Margot Robbie is an Australian TV and film actress who moved from acting in independent Australian movies to acting in Hollywood. After a successful stint in the soap opera Neighbours, the actress landed roles in high-budget Hollywood movies like The Wolf of Wall Street, The Legend of Tarzan, and Suicide Squad.

Early Life
Margot Elise Robbie was born on 2 July 1990 and raised in Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia. She grew up with two brothers named Lachlan and Cameron, and a sister named Anya, all of whom were raised by their single mother Sarie Kesser. When she was merely 16 years old, Margot Robbie worked several jobs whilst studying drama at Somerset College. A year later, she moved to Melbourne to pursue her acting career.

Personal Life
Margot Robbie and British film director Tom Ackerley began dating in 2014 and after two years later, the duo tied the knot on December 18, 2016. They reportedly met on the sets of Suite Francaise and started seeing each other shortly after.

Movie Career
In the year 2007, Margot Robbie began acting professionally and was a part of several independent films in Australia like I.C.U. and Vigilante. After playing minor roles in TV shows like The Elephant Princess and City Homicide, the actress landed the role of Donna Freedman on the popular soap opera Neighbours. Although initially signed on for just a couple of episodes, Robbie was boosted to a regular cast member and was seen on the show from 2008 till 2011. She was then selected to appear in the American drama series Pan Am, which ran for only one season.

In 2012, the actress was cast in the hit rom-com About Time, which also starred Rachel McAdams, Domhnall Gleeson, and Bill Nighy. The following year saw Margot Robbie shoot to prominence in Martin Scorsese`s The Wolf of Wall Street. Robbie proficiently essayed the role of Naomi Lapaglia, the wife of lead character Jordan Belfort, played by LeonardoDi Caprio. The year 2015 saw Robbie act opposite Will Smith in the movie Focus, which won the actress further acclaim. Her performances in the 2015 movies Z for Zachariah, Suite Francaise, and a cameo in The Big Short, ensured that the versatile actress had filmmakers across Hollywood interested in signing her on for their projects.

Margot Robbie kicked 2016 off with a key role in the biographical war film Whiskey Tango Foxtrot, starring Tina Fey. She then went on to play Tarzan`s wife Jane in the David Yates-directed The Legend of Tarzan, alongside Alexander Skarsgard, Samuel L. Jackson, and Christoph Waltz. Her last release of the year, DC Comics` Suicide Squad, starred Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn. The superhero movie also starred Hollywood superstars Will Smith, and Jared Leto. She reprised the role in the 2020 film Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn). Her 2021 releases include Peter Rabbit 2 : The Runaway.
