Jitendra Joshi is an Indian actor who predominantly works in the Marathi movies and theater and is popularly known for the role of `Saai` in the movie Duniyadaari (2013). The versatile actor is also a renowned writer and has written the famous Marathi song `Kombadi Palali` composed by Ajay Atul.

Theater Career
Jitendra is an established theater actor and has appeared in several successful plays such as Prem Naam Hai Mera .. Prem Chopta, Mukkam Post Bombilwadi, 2 Special, and Hamidabaicha Kothi.

Television
The actor has appeared in many TV serials and also been a host of a number of shows including Campus A Fair War, Home Minister (2004), Hasya Samrat (2009), and Marathi Paul Padate Pudhe (2011).

Movie Career
As an Actor

Jitendra made his acting debut with Hindi movie Pran Jaye Par Shaan Na Jaye (2003). He then appeared in several Marathi movies such as Pak Pak Pakkak (2005), Golmal (2006), and Hai Kai Nai Kai (2009). In 2010 he portrayed the character of Narumama in the National Award winning movie Shala directed by Sujay Dhake.

The year 2012 saw him essay the character of Saint Tukaram, a 17th century saint, in the movie Tukaram, directed Chandrakant Kulkarni of the Bindhast fame. The movie went on to win the Best Film Award at the 2012 Screen Awards. One of the best performances of his career came with the movie Duniyadari (2013) directed by Sanjay Jadhav. Jeetendra essayed a negative character, Sainath, in the movie was highly appreciated for his performance. The movie went on to break several box office records and was the highest grossing Marathi movie at the time of its release. He also appeared in the Hindi movie Singham Returns (2014). 02

Jitendra played another negative character in the movie Baji (2014), which also marked the comeback of Shreyas Talpade in Marathi cinema after a gap of seven years. His subsequent releases include Kaakan (2015), Shasan (2015), and Poster Girl (2016). His 2020 release includes Choricha Mamla.

Jitendra has written lyrics for several songs in movies such as Pak Pak Pakaak (2005), Jatra (2006), Striker (2010), 4 Idiots (2012), and Aayna ka Bayna (2012).

Starting from 2013, he appeared as an Actor in Duniyadari (2013), Kokanastha (2013), and Mhais (2013). In 2014, he starred in Cappuccino (2014), Hu Tu Tu (2014), LBW (2014), Raakhandaar (2014), and Premasathi Coming Suun (2014). His 2015 work includes roles in Baji (2015), Kaakan (2015), Dhol Taashe (2015), Just Gammat (2015), and Chuk Bhul Dyavi Ghyavi (2015). In 2016, he featured in Natsamrat (2016), Shasan (2016), Poshter Girl (2016), and the critically acclaimed comedy-drama Ventilator (2016). He continued with Baghtos Kay Mujra Kar (2017), served as a Lyricist for Ek Sangaychay... Unsaid Harmony (2018), and appeared as an Actor in Mauli (2018) and Welcome Home (2019). In 2020, he served as an Actor and Lyricist for the comedy-crime film Choricha Mamla (2020). He headlined and served as a Producer for the internationally acclaimed drama Godavari (2022). In 2023, he starred in School College Ani Life (2023) and Naal 2 (2023).

His 2024 credits include the social-thriller Ghaath (2024) and the spy-thriller Ulajh (2024). In 2025, he appeared as an Actor in the drama Agni (2025) and served as a Lyricist for Chidiya (2025). His work in 2026 includes roles as an Actor in the crime-investigation thriller Daayra (2026), the suspense-thriller Magic (2026), the historical action-drama Raja Shivaji (2026), the comedy-horror Tumbadchi Manjula (2026), the crime-thriller Bandar (2026), the drama Mardini (2026), the adventure-drama Ohh My Dog (2026), and the sports biopic Khashaba (2026).
