Early LifeMargot Elise Robbie was born on 2 July 1990 and raised in Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia. She grew up with two brothers named Lachlan and Cameron, and a sister named Anya, all of whom were raised by their single mother Sarie Kesser. When she was merely 16 years old, Margot Robbie worked several jobs whilst studying drama at Somerset College. A year later, she moved to Melbourne to pursue her acting career.

Movie CareerIn the year 2007, Margot Robbie began acting professionally and was a part of several independent films in Australia like I.C.U. and Vigilante. After playing minor roles in TV shows like The Elephant Princess and City Homicide, the actress landed the role of Donna Freedman on the popular soap opera Neighbours.
