A hotel management graduate by degree and an actress by choice, Nisha Aggarwal has worked in the Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam film industries after having made her acting debut in 2010 with the movie Yemaindi Ee Vela.

Early Life
Born to Vinay Aggarwal, a businessman dealing in textiles, and Suman Aggarwal, a confectioner, Nisha is the younger sister of popular Indian actress Kajal Aggarwal. She studied at Mumbai’s St Anne’s High School, following which she attended reputed colleges like Jai Hind College and Krishnachand Chelaramani College. She then went on to pursue a degree in hotel management from Aurangabad. During the course of her studies, she interned with the Taj Group of Hotels, following which she moved to Hyderabad, where her sister was already an established Telugu movie actress.

Personal Life
Nisha met Karan Valecha, a business management graduate at that time, through a common friend. The two began dating soon after their first meeting, and five years later, in 2013, the two tied the knot. Karan is a successful businessman and is involved with the family businesses Valecha Engineering Limited and Gold’s Gym.

Movie Career
Hailing from Mumbai, Nisha Agarwal moved to Hyderabad to pursue her acting dream, making her debut in the Telugu film industry. Not limiting herself only to the Telugu film industry, Nisha went on to act in Tamil and Malayalam movies as well.

After moving to Hyderabad, Nisha made her acting debut in 2010 with the movie Emaindhi Ee Vela, her performance in which won her immense praise and recognition. Next, she was cast alongside Nara Rohith in Parasuram’s romantic drama Solo, which explored the life of an orphan who falls in love with a girl, hailing from a joint family. The movie opened to mixed reviews and was declared an average grosser at the box office. Making her Tamil debut, Nisha was cast in Ishtam, which is the Tamil remake of her debut film.

She was then paired opposite Aadi, son of veteran Telugu actor Sai Kumar, in G. Ashok’s 2013 Telugu romantic drama Sukumarudu. Playing the role of a village girl, Nisha’s character, Sankari, falls in love with a rich NRI, Sukumar. The movie tells the tale of how the two lovers manage to convince Sukumar’s family for their union. Reuniting with her debut movie’s co-star Varun Sandesh, Nisha was next seen in the 2013 romantic movie Saradaga Ammayitho. Her character in the movie is pursued by a flirty boy, who falls head-over-heels in love with her. In order to test the boy’s love for her, she challenges him to live in a girl’s hostel and not flirt with anyone. The movie opened to mixed reviews and did moderately well at the box office.

The following year, in 2014, she made her Malayalam movie debut with the movie Bhaiyya Bhaiyya, which starred Kunchacko Boban and Biju Menon in lead roles. The Malayalam comedy, unfortunately, did not manage to wow the critics and the audience alike and opened to mainly negative reviews with critics stating, “The makers of Bhaiyya Bhaiyya have just mixed melodrama, crass comedy, song n dance routines and some action sequences, without a proper recipe. Just like what happens in cooking, they end up making a tasteless dish.” She followed up her debut with another Malayalam movie, reuniting with Boban in Vysakh’s comedy Cousins, featuring Indrajith Sukumaran, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Vedhika, and Joju George in pivotal roles.
