Malayalam director Vysakh made his directorial debut in 2010 with the action masala movie Pokkiri Raja, for which he cast Malayalam movie star Mammootty, Shriya Saran, and Prithviraj Sukumaran. His debut movie was well-received and went on to become one of the highest-grossing Malayalam movies of the year. After the success of his debut movie, Vysakh worked with a number of top actors of the Malayalam cinema such as Kunchacko Boban, Suraj Venjaramoodu, and Mohanlal, and continued to win appreciation for his work.

Early Life
Born as Ebby Abraham, Vysakh was born to of K. C. Abraham and is Marriyamma Abraham on the 1st of June, 1980 in Kanhangad, Kerala.

Personal Life
The director is married to Neena and has two children with her, Isabella Ebbey Abraham and Dave Ebbey Abraham.

Movie Career
Making his directorial debut in 2010, Vysakh started big by casting Mammootty and Prithviraj Sukumaran in the movie Pokkiri Raja, which also marked actress Shriya Saran’s Malayalam movie debut. The movie went on to become one of 2010’s highest-grossing movies, and was also well-received by the critics. Following the success of his debut movie, Vysakh brought together Jayaram, Kunchacko Boban, Biju Menon, and Manoj K. Jayan for his 2011 comedy-thriller Seniors, which opened to rave reviews on its opening weekend and was declared a super hit.

His next masala movie Mallu Singh, starring Kunchako Boban, Unni Mukundan, Samvrutha Sunil, and Rupa Manjari, went on to become a commercial success despite receiving mixed reviews from critics. The movie was dubbed in Hindi and was titled Action King Mallu Singh. His next movie, again, was not very well-received by the critics, but Sound Thoma was a people-pleaser and went on to become a commercial success. After directing mostly masala movies, Vysakh directed the 2013 drama Vishudhan that focusses on the lives of a Christian priest and nun, who is thrown out of the Church on the basis of false accusations of her having an affair with the priest. The movie was well-received by the critics, with one of the critics calling Vishudhan one of Vysakh’s finest works.

After being lauded for his previous film, Vysakh’s next venture, Cousins, let him down with the movie opening to mainly negative reviews. Redeeming himself from his previous disaster, Vysakh made the 2016 action Pulimurugan starring superstar Mohanlal along with Kamalini Mukherjee, and Jagapati Babu. The movie went on to become one of Malayalam cinema’s highest opening-day-grossing movies, and highest opening weekend-grossing movies in the state.
