About the movie
Vijay (Amitabh Bachchan) and Sunil (Shashi Kapoor) are burglars who are assigned to kidnap the son of Seth Mathur (Shreeram Lagoo), Bittoo. They get enrolled in the school to get close to the kid. There Vijay meets Anju (Parveen Babi) and Sunil meets Shalu (Hema Malini). Unaware of their background, the girls fall in love.
However as time comes close, the boys realise they cannot kidnap Bittoo due to their affection towards him.
Sunil`s boss Uncle Jagdish (Kader Khan) loses hope on him and he himself comes up with a plan and abducts the boy. Whether or not the two are able to protect their friend from their uncle, forms the rest of the story.
