1980 was very significant for cut-outs in Tamil cinema as today`s `First Look` of the movie. Those days cut-out was creating a magical bond between the fans and the actor during the release time. The story travels across those period.

Mandira Moorthy, a local politician and also a owner of the theatre in Tirunelveli. He used to face problems, when releasing the movies of leading actor Kamalhasan and Rajinikanth. So, he cleverly tried to control the fans association members by using his political power and also had a plan to convert the situation into a political one. That affected Ravi, who is an artist of the cut-outs. He is a die-hard fan of Rajinikanth. The rest of the movie is about how the Ravi faces all challenges and takes revenge against Mandira Moorthy.
