About the movie
Directed by Santhosh Sivan who gave us flicks like Asoka and the much-acclaimed Tahaan, Sivapuram is about black magic, serpent protectors, and Naga Manikyam. Spinning around the belief that Naga Devatas guard the village, the story shows how an evil sorcerer manipulates this for his own gain, but dies while doing so. The scheme is further carried out by his son, but not without resistance.
