Nicholas Stoller is an English-American director, writer, and producer who is popularly known for directing the comedy movie Forgetting Sarah Marshall (2008). He has also co-written and been the executive producer for the moviesThe Muppets (2011) and Muppets Most Wanted (2014). Stoller is married to Francesca Delbanco, the daughter of the writer Nicholas Delbanco.

Early Life
Stoller was born to Phyllis, a travel tour operator, and Eric C. Stoller, a bank executive, in London, England. However, he was raised as a Jewish in Miami, United States, along with is brother Matt Stoller. He was enrolled at a boarding school, St. Paul, in New Hampshire, and later attended the Harvard College. While Stoller was still an undergraduate, he also wrote for `The Harvard Lampoon`, a comedy publication. He also played for `The Immediate Gratification Players`, an improv comedy troupe.

Movie Career
Stoller began his career by writing for Undeclared, a television series aired on FOX, which was directed by Judd Apatow. He later again teamed up with Apatow and co-wrote the movie Fun with Dick and Jane (2005) starring Jim Carey and Tea Leoni. The movie, although received mixed reviews, went on to gross US $ 32 million at the box office. He made his Hollywood debut as a director with the movie in 2008 with the romantic comedy movie Forgetting Sarah Marshall. The movie starring Mila Kunis, Jason Segel, Kristen BellJonah Hill, Russel Brand, and Bill Hader, and produced by Apatow Productions. opened to positive critic reviews.

In the same year, he also wrote the British-American comedy movie, Yes Man, starring Jim Carrey. The movie marked another success for Stoller as it received much appreciation at the box office. For his next directorial, Get Him To Greek (2010), he once again collaborated with Apatow Productions. The movie starringRussell Brand and Jonah Hill. In 2011 he wrote and produced the movie The Muppets, a musical comedy that was highly successful. Following the success of the movie Stoller andJames Bobin, the director, teamed up again to make the sequel to the movie, titled Muppets Most Wanted (2013).

Stoller next co-wrote, directed, and produced the movie The Five-Year Engagement (2011). Jason Segel, who co-wrote the movie, also starred in the movie along with Emily Blunt. In the subsequent years, he wrote the movies Sex Tape (2014), Zoolander 2 (2016), Neighbors 2: Sorority (2016), and Storks (2016). In 2017, he worked as a creative consultant on the animated movie The Lego Batman Movie and wrote the animated movie Captain Underpants: The First Epic Movie. His 2019 project includes Dora And The Lost City Of Gold.
