Sophie Turner is an English television and movie actor who made her professional acting debut with HBO`s hit fantasy series Game of Thrones, co-starring Kit Harrington, Emilia Clarke, Peter Dinklage, Lena Headey, Natalie Dormer and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, in 2011 at the age of fifteen. Her portrayal of Sansa Stark in the series has won her global acclaim and recognition and has also won various nominations. Apart from the television show, Sophie has appeared in movies such as Another Me, Barely Lethal, and X-Men: Apocalypse.

Early Life
Born on the 21st of February, 1996 in Northampton, Turner`s mother is a nursery school teacher, and father works for a pallet distribution company. She has two brothers, James and Will. At the age of two, she moved to Chesterton, Warwickshire where she attended the Warwick Prep School until the age of eleven, after which she went on to study at The King`s High School for Girls. When in high school, she began acting in local stage plays.

Since Turner was always interested in the field of performing arts, her parents enrolled her at the Playbox Theatre Company when she was three years old. It was her drama teacher who encouraged her to audition for Game of Thrones.

Personal Life
Sophie Turner was in a relationship with The Vamps` lead guitarist James McVey. The two posted pictures of each other on their respective Instagram accounts. However, the relationship was short-lived and the two split soon after announcing their relationship.

Acting Career
After Turner`s drama teacher convinced her to audition for Sansa`s role in Game of Thrones, she colored her blonde hair auburn. At the age of fifteen, she made her acting debut with HBO`s fantasy series and since then has been an internationally known face. While still in high school, she`d have a tutor on the sets of the show who helped her finish her school homework. Turner has won a few awards and nominations for her work in the hit television series. Besides Game of Thrones, Turner appeared in the television film The Thirteenth Tale in 2013.

In 2013, she made her movie debut with independent thriller movie Another Me. Turner was then cast alongside Hailee Steinfeld in 2015`s comedy movie Barely Lethal. She also featured in the 2016 sci-fi movie X-Men: Apocalypse alongside Jennifer Lawrence and Michael Fassbender. Her other project for the year 2016 is Alone.
