About the movie
Revolving around the brother-sister relationship of Dharam (Sanjeev Kumar) and Bela (Farida Jalal), Paras starts off with the two witnessing an act of murder committed by the influential brother of Thakur Arjun Singh (Shatrugan Sinha), and taking the murdered to the police station immediately. The murderer is arrested, presented in court and is ordered to be hanged. In order the spare themselves the potential troubles, Dharam goes to the city to earn money and manage for funds for his sister to be married. Meanwhile, the Thakur sets Dharam`s house ablaze, abducting Bela and attempting to rape her. However, she escapes and runs to the city where her brother is, where she sees him in the company of a rich woman Barkha (Rakhi Gulzar). But only if she knew that she was in for many more surprises...
