Early Life
Born and raised in London, England, Naomi Scott is the daughter of Usha Scott, a Gujarati Indian from Uganda and Christopher Scott, a Brit national who worked as the senior pastor of the Bridge Church in Woodford, Redbridge. Scott who had a traditional Christian upbringing, encouraged by her father, participated in missionary and outreach work. The actress went to Davenant Foundation School where she was a regular performer in the school musicals.
TV Career
Naomi Scott started her acting career with the popular comedy TV series Life Bites (2008-09) where she played one of the lead roles. The series was the British adaptation of the Disney Channel`s Italy original series Life Bites. The actress got wide recognition and fame with her role as Maddy Shannon in the 2011 science fiction TV series Terra Nova. The series, co-starring Jason O`Mara, Shelley Conn, Christine Adams, Allison Miller and Landon Liboiron documents the life experiences of the Shannon family as they try to establish themselves as the members of a colony, which was set up 85 million years in the earth`s past. Her other popular TV appearances include By Any Means (2013) and Lewis (2015-16).
