Oscar-winning actor, Eddie Redmayne is known for his spectacular roles in

Redmayne has also been very vocal about the rights of the LGBT community and has often spoken in favor of homeless LGBT youth in the US.
Early Life
Born to Patricia and Richard Redmayne in a business family of Westminster, London, Eddie Redmayne is one of the five children in his family. Eddie made his stage debut during his school years when he featured in a London production of Oliver. Redmayne went to the esteemed Eton College, where he was classmates with Prince Williams. Thereafter, he majored in history, also landing a substantial role in Twelfth Night, a play he did in 2002.

In 2014, Eddie Redmayne tied the knot with his lover of many years Hannah Bagshawe and in 2015, Hannah gave birth to their daughter, Iris Mary.

Like Minds, Redmayne appeared in supporting roles in films such as
The Good Shepherd (2006), Savage Grace (2007), Powder Blue (2008), The Other Boleyn Girl (2008), Glorious 39 (2009), and Hick (2011). In 2011, he landed a major role in the British drama film My Week with Marilyn. Co-starring

In 2015, Redmayne appeared in his first negative role on screen in space fantasy movie
Jupiter Ascending. The movie failed miserably at the box office, with the actor receiving Golden Raspberry Award for Worst Supporting Actor. But in the same year, Redmayne redeemed himself with another Tom Hooper film- The Danish Girl. For essaying the role Lili Elbe, a transgender woman in an era when sex change surgeries were considered a taboo, Redmayne received an Oscar nomination for Best Actor.
His 2016 release includes the fantasy film
Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. A Harry Potter spin-off, the film has Redmayne starring as a magic zoologist Newt Scamander. Directed by
David Yates, it`s produced and written by the
J.K.Rowling.
