About the movie
Advocate Ramesh Nambiar`s (Mammootty) sister Aswathy Nambiar (Bhavana) witnesses the murder of a girl at Bangalore Medical College by Arun Kumar (Indrajith Sukumaran). Arun, with the help of his other two relatives, Mahindran and Ganeshan, injects morphine into her and rapes her. Her loves Karthik tries to save her but he is killed. She goes into come.
Arun is arrested for the murder.
However, Ramesh Nambiar, unaware of the fact that Arun is his sister`s culprit, takes charge of the case and saves him. This outrages Devaraja Pratapa Varma (Mohanlal), Karthik`s brother and he sets off to avenge his brother`s death.
The rest is how he takes his revenge, and how Ramesh realises that Arun is the real culprit.
